The Advertising Agency allows an airline to improve its image and is found on the upper or office level of the airport.

Airline Tycoon[]

In Airline Tycoon, the Advertising Agency can be found right next to Siggi Sorglos's (i.e. Falcon Lines's) green office. It's shortcut key is: I, and its hours of operations are:

  • Mondays to Fridays: 12 - 6
  • Saturdays and Sundays closed

The agency offers services to:

  • Check your airline's image
  • Improve your airline's image
  • Improve the image of one of your routes
  • Execute a big advertising campaign to improve the airline's image and that of its routes

The agency offers various ways to advertise your airline and its routes including the following from least to most effective and expensive:

  • Leaflets
  • Newspapers
  • Radio spots
  • Movies
  • TV spots
  • tell the man everything I want a gigantic campain (i.e. all of the above)

Airline Tycoon 2[]

In Airline Tycoon 2, the Advertising Agency can be found between the airport manager's office and the Designer Agency. It's shortcut key is: I, and is always open. This agency offers the following services with the more effective options being more expensive:

  • Improve the image of one or all of your routes using one of three campaigns consisting of the following slogans, from most to least effective:
    • "Flyvergnugen"
    • "There's always room for F-L-Y-I-N-G"
    • "Come in and find out"
  • Harm the image of one of your competitors by making one of the following claims, from most to least effective:
    • Claim that my competitor's on-board services were loaded with bird flu
    • Claim that my competitor had repaired his planes with papier-mache and chewing gum
    • Claim that there were rats on board my competitor's plane
  • Hire a spokesman to protect yourself from negative ad campaigns launched by your competitors against your airline. One of the following spokesman (listed from most to least effective) can be hired at any given time:
    • A spokesman who used to work for an atomic energy company in Azerbaijan
    • A spokesman who used to work for a government that is now bankrupt
    • A spokesman who used to be the editor-in-chief of his school newspaper
    • Nobody (i.e. no spokesman)

Note that you will not be able to harm a competitor's image if the competitor has hired a spokesman, and that launching too many negative campaigns against your competitors in a short time span increases the chance that you will be caught and fined by the airport manager.
